*Session 1 and 2 Price break - 15 weeks Cost $145.00 (Due November 2, 2014) + $12.00 Insurance / USFS Fee's = $157.00

Rules & Regulations for the Basic Skills Program:
Our Basic Skills Program will start Sunday, October 19, 2014. The annual Ice Show and year-end
banquet will be scheduled in 2015. Please note there may be cancellations due to weather or hockey
tournament conflicts. You will be contacted prior to your student’s lesson time’s if / when a
In order to have lessons run smoothly and allow parents / guardians and skaters to be less frazzled;
please arrive 15 minutes prior to lesson time. This will allow time needed for lesson preparation
(i.e. asking questions, tying skates, finding that missing mitten, etc.).
US Figure Skating mandates all children 6 years old and Younger MUST wear a helmet!
NO helmet, NO ice, NO EXCEPTIONS. Please make sure your child does not eat or chew gum while
on the ice. As listed with registration, an assigned 30-minute lesson time will be followed by a
30-minute practice time for each student enrolled.
Public Skate Assistance is Required:
If you are new to the program, please note that it is now a requirement to help with our scheduled
Public Skate nights. The Salmon River Ice Hockey Association Public Skate times are worked
entirely by VOLUNTEERS! The proceeds help to improve and maintain our rink.
We need your help!
Starting October 2014 Public Skate for Skating School will be scheduled for approximately one
session monthly on a Friday or Saturday evening from 7:15 PM to 9:30 PM.

Required Public Skate Positions Are As Follows:
Public Skate Coordinator to help ensure we have coverage for snack bar, admissions, rental skates,
Zamboni drivers and clean up for Public Skate. Plus we need help with ice time scheduling and
assistance with our Annual Show.
The Salmon River Ice Hockey Association requires the Salmon River Skating School to have a
governing system. This will make our Skating School run more efficiently and even out workloads
associated with the skating school responsibilities.
We will have a MANDATORY meeting regarding parent commitments and fund raising
requirements Sunday October 19th at the rink from 3:30 - 4:30 PM.
